Check out the new link on Executive Functioning Disorder. Most students with Autism and and Aspergers have significant impairment in executive functioning. They have difficulty with:

Organizing their school work
Starting and stopping their school work
Breaking down a subject into smaller tasks

How you can help with organization:

1. Color code school subjects and folders
2. Develop a checklist for each class which includes the class schedule and required materials
3. Written classroom rules and expectations
